CREATIVE ADVENTURE
IS IN STORE

Every creative adventurer needs proper gear and attire to confidently explore the landscape of their imagination. Greenwood Pencil Box has great gear like graphic t-shirts to express your unique point of view, thinking caps, story maps, writing prompts, and everything you’ll need on your trek through the peaks and valleys of the right brain.

Come in and let your creativity "climb" our Story Wall when you add your written contribution to our eight-foot-tall tale. Look for future in-store workshops, demonstrations, and live performances (once medical scientists deem it safe to do so). Or just visit us to get ideas for the destination of your next creative adventure–there’s always a reason to visit the Greenwood Pencil Box no matter what direction the compass of your imagination is pointed in.

ABOUT

PB_Marquis Logo.png

Greenwood Pencil Box provides opportunities and support for the creative programs serving youth and young adults at these non-profit organizations:

The Greater Seattle Bureau of Fearless Ideas is a non-profit creative learning organization in Seattle, Washington, offering innovative tutoring and writing programs for students aged 6-18.  We believe that words, well written and well-spoken, broaden possibility, and invite opportunity. When we tell our stories passionately and listen to others with genuine interest, we find understanding and empathy, and the world becomes a better place.

The Sanctuary Art Center is a collection of art studios designed to connect homeless and under-served youth populations with employment internships and artistic programs in a variety of creative disciplines. Our goal is to educate and empower young people who come from disadvantaged backgrounds so they may reach their fullest potential. We view creativity as a basic need. Many of the youth we encounter have experienced significant trauma. Art gives them the opportunity to explore their issues in an indirect manner, providing a less aggressive path toward healing.
